- Take our Initial Assessment. The purpose of our initial assessment is to determine the level of your current qualification, English language reading, writing, speaking and listing experience, prior learning and the extra support you may need during the course.
- After the result of your initial assessment, sign our learning agreement, including joining instruction.
- As soon as we receive your payment with your learning agreement, we will start you on the course. Your personal Tutor/Assessor will get in touch with you and hold an induction meeting with you. This course can only be delivered face-to-face at our approved centre in Manchester. You do not need any formal entry qualification before enrolling on this course. Assessment Methods Assessment is by a combination of assignments, examination and portfolio evidence. Your tutor will provide you with the course handbook during the induction.The course will cover the following units:

SIA CCTV Operator Course
This qualification has been developed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Learners who are successful in achieving this qualification will become eligible to apply for an SIA license to practice within the private security industry in the United Kingdom. This is an SIA license linked qualification, meaning that successful learners will be notified to the SIA which provides a necessary requirement towards obtaining a license to perform the role of a CCTV Operator in the private security industry.
SIA Door Supervision Course (Including Emergency First Aid at Work)
SIA Door Supervision is a seven-days course covering all the requirements to gain an SIA Door Supervision Licence. The course is split into modules which include Working in the Private Security Industry, Working as a Door Supervisor, Conflict Management, Counter Terrorism Awareness, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and Physical Intervention Skills. It is a legal requirement that you have SIA Licence training and a valid SIA Licence before you start working in the Private Security Industry in the UK. Our
SIA Licence training will prepare you for a rewarding and challenging career as an SIA Accredited Door Supervisor. The role is extremely demanding, so it is vital that you receive the best quality training available before you begin your new career.
As soon as you have successfully completed you course, you will be able to apply for your SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
You will be assessed through four multiple-choice exams and some practical assessments of the physical intervention and other skills you will be taught on the course.
Everything you need to know for the examination is covered during the course and your expert instructor will fully prepare you for success in your tests. So, although examinations can sometimes be daunting, you’ll be fully equipped to pass with flying colours!
SIA Door Supervision (Top Up) Course
Door supervisors are often the first point of contact between many businesses and members of the public. It is important therefore that they are effectively trained and meet legal requirements in what can be a challenging environment. The Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor Private Security Industry (Top-Up) is for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements.
To complete this qualification all learners are expected to undertake approximately 24 hours of learning. Key topics include:
